The Forgotten PicturesLife Drawings From The Fine Arts School of Hanoi The discovery of life drawings on the reverse side of many of the propaganda posters in the Dogma Collection was one of the most surprising and unexpected findings of the archiving process. The life drawings compare favorably with the finest works of any classical fine arts academy, and many possess, for Western eyes at least, exotic Indochinese characteristics. The above poster is signed and dated 'Hai 74'. On the reverse side is a lady and chair composition, also in tempera.
One of the most exciting finds involved these two ladies, now reunited, from a forgotten life drawing class.
